COVID 19 UPDATE STATEMENT 23/08/20 After extensive research, and advice from community support organisations ACRE and CRCC, the Trustees have taken the decision to keep The Centre of Pendeen facility closed until at least the new year. The uncertainties of the current Covid situation means that the risks of opening are unfortunately too great. A risk assessment for the use of the space has been drawn up and is ready to be deployed as soon as circumstances allow. All our regular groups & hirers have been requested to complete their own Covid risk assessments for their activities and submit them to us so that they are in place for future opening. The Farmers’ Market will continue to operate outdoors, weather permitting. We fully recognise the value of The Centre for the people of Pendeen , and the surrounding area, and will continue to work hard to make opening possible, as soon as it is safe to do so for both the community ,our volunteers and member of staff. Our government COVID Support grant will help to cover the costs of keeping the Centre viable for the meantime. This decision will be discussed and reviewed at our monthly meetings to ensure it is still valid and our goal is to open the Centre as soon as it is safe to do so. Signed The Trustees of The Centre of Pendeen (Delia Webb, Jeremy Spanton, Jacky Urquhart, Sandra Coak, John Roberts, Bev Strick, Angela Annesley and Susan Horner
