Our village community centre in the far west of Cornwall is a great place for everyone in the Pendeen area to meet, learn, exercise and enjoy leisure activities. Whether you live locally or are visiting the area, please drop in.
The Centre reception is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 3.00pm for internet access, photocopying, printing etc. and is managed and staffed by helpful volunteers.
Our regular classes and clubs include: Spanish, patchwork, Scrabble, chess, computer skills, healing and meditation, gardeners’ club, Pilates, yoga, tai chi ch’uan, short mat bowls and table tennis. Our Pendeen Walks for Health group meets fortnightly on Sunday afternoons in the Spring, Summer and Autumn months. Our snooker and pool club is open to members all day and in the evening, 7 days a week.
The What’s On board in The Centre reception area lists all the current week’s activities.
Starting soon is our series of special events called Sustainable Pendeen.
We host Pendeen Farmers’ Market from 10am to 1pm on the first and the third Saturday of each month.
There is a small exhibition of work by local artists in our hall. Many of their paintings are for sale.
We always have an excellent selection of second-hand books and DVDs for sale at 50p each. This and That, our ongoing community recycling event, offers a wide variety of new and pre-loved items at very low prices.
Our premises are available to hire for one-off events or regular clubs, classes, exhibitions and meetings.
