The Centre is run by volunteers. New volunteers are always needed to keep the Centre’s fantastic services available to the community. We are always looking for people to take on various roles including administration, fund-raising and covering reception so local people can continue to access photocopying, laptops and internet provision. We need help with fund-raising events, to get snooker and pool running for young people again and help with any other community activities that people would like to attend. Volunteering is flexible so any contribution of time will be very much appreciated. Please get involved!
Network Training can offer FREE computer training. Tom is at the Centre on Thursdays from 10.00am -3.00pm. Pop in during these times and have a chat to Tom about the best course for you.
Community laptops are available for all to use whenever we are open. Check your e-mails, browse online, or brush up your typing skills for the bargain price of £2 for an hour, or part hour.
We have a book exchange for second-hand books. Come and browse our selection. Books only 50p.
Table tennis is closed for the Summer. From September it runs every Friday evening from 7.15pm – 9.30pm. Everyone is welcome but please note any young people under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Farmer's Market is here every first and third Saturday of the month. Come and buy the great range of produce available from local suppliers.
Would you like to be fitter and healthier? Why not try one of our many fitness classes? There are several different classes available through the week including T’ai Chi, Zumba, Yoga and Pilates. All exercise classes are friendly, welcoming and open to all ages & abilities, pop in during Centre opening times to find out more.
Join the Institute snooker and pool club. Membership is only £20 a year for access to the snooker and nine ball pool tables. A league team will be playing in the West Cornwall Snooker League for the 2011 season. Support for the team and additional league players are welcomed. Members are required to abide by the rules and leave the building by 10pm, so that Chris can lock up the building.

Great news! Our bid to provide a new, upgraded colour copying and printing service was successful.
Thanks to Cornwall Council and West Cornwall Local Action Group (part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), investing funds from the EU with Defra as the managing authority, and Cornwall Development Company as the Accountable Body) and all those that supported the project.
As well as B&W, we can now copy and print in good quality colour. Get your posters, fliers, business cards or other quality copy and print at reasonable rates; B&W still 10p per A4, colour 50p per A4 on 80gsm paper.
As part of the project, Network Training can offer the self-employed, or those starting up in business, IT support to help advertise and promote their business. Call in the Centre in the New Year on Thursdays to see Tom.
This project is part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for European Development 2007-2013: Europe investing in rural areas.
